The Equine Art Collections features original paintings of the horse with passion and a thorough understanding of this timeless subject.
The beauty of the horse is captured with the expressive brush strokes, color and composition from the artist's brush, with the correctness of the discriminating trainer's eye and with the passion of a horseperson's heart.

Watercolor and acrylic works done en plein air. En plein air means in the open air. These works were done on site which is a fun challanging way to paint. Dealing with quickly changing light, wind, rain, freezing conditions, heat and blazng sun add elements that makes every brush stroke a precious thing.

Here you will find really fun painting sketches from my Horse Painting a Day Collection. This collection is titled Riding Essentials because you will find sketches of all the different supplies, sundries and equipment used in the daily care and training of a horse. You may find a feed scoop, a folded cooler, a pile of polos, etc.....
Key here is that I produce one of these paintings a day! How do I choose what to paint? Easy... I reach into my tack trunk and pull something out! Voila! That's what I paint.
