Jen Brandon’s expressive painting, “Splash of Red”, has been chosen as the poster for the Hampton Classic this year. One of the most prestigious shows in America, the best riders come to compete, and internationally known celebrities come socialize and watch the competition. This year, Jen Brandon will be added to the list of famous artists who have had their art displayed at the Hampton Classic, including Henry Koehler, Mickey Paraskevas and Lynn Mara.
Join Jen at her booth at the Hampton Classic, where you can meet the artist in person and purchase your own copy of “Splash Of Red”.
TFS: What does winning the prestigious Poster Contest for the Hampton Classic mean to you?
JB: It’s an immense privilege to have my work chosen for the artwork for the 2018 Hampton Classic poster. It is a beautiful equestrian event, and it’s truly an honor to be a part of it in this way.
TFS: Would you tell us more about the painting and the story behind it?
JB: I loved the clear connection between this horse and rider, and was drawn to the beautiful energy they exhibited as a unified pair. The contrast between the black horse and the vast blue sky was striking and I couldn’t resist the temptation to paint it!
TFS: What other exhibits do you have planned for this year?
Currently, I’m exhibiting at the Longines Masters this week. It’s a fabulous show, and visitors should definitely stop by the Prestige Village where I’m painting live throughout the week!
It’s located at the NYCB LIVE, Home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
I’m looking forward to exhibiting at the Hampton Classic as well! In fact, folks should enter their photos on Instagram for a chance to be featured in my live painting demo at the show. (Follow @jenbrandonstudio)
