My last post on poster contests was very popular and I thought I would tell all of you about a few other horse art and poster contests and a few other prominent horse event’s 2015 posters!
~Equine Art Challenge~ USA
Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to compete for a $400 first prize and the chance to have their work exhibited at a major racing event in America’s Best Racing’s inaugural Equine Art Challenge, an juried online art competition of works related to horses and horse racing.

~ EQUINE ART 2015 ~ Washington, USA
The purpose of the show is to encourage equine artists and to support the arts, in general, as an integral part of all horse-related sports. The annual art show has garnered recognition since its inception in 1980 at the WTBOA Sales Pavilion at Longacres, Washington. In 2015, we celebrate our 16th year of continued growth and success at Emerald Downs.
The show offers over $6,000 in prize money, $750 of which is dedicated to youth categories. It is judged by a respected panel of distinguished artists and/or other knowledgeable individuals.
The art show is presented under the auspices of the Washington Thoroughbred Foundation (WTF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and as such, all sponsorships and/or other donations made to the art show are tax-deductible.

~The Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association~ Canada
The Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association in accepting submissions of original artwork for consideration for use in their promotional poster, catalogue cover, website and advertising. The selected piece will be sold as Lot 0 of the sale in September, with 80% of the proceeds going to the artist. Color artwork of any medium — oil, pastel, watercolor, photography, etc. — is acceptable, including limited edition prints of original work. The committee is looking for an image that depicts or represents the Warmblood horse in some fashion related to breeding and/or sport.
