Location: Hartbeespoortdam, North West Province, South Africa

Ranked among the most experienced sculptors in the world, Jager hase made more than 120 life size bronze sculptures in locations across the globe. Born in 1936 near the city of Johannesburg, Danie de Jager grew up in the African bushveld where his love for animals first started. After a three year art course at the Johannesburg Technical College Art School, he started a career as a full time sculptor.

A group of eighteen galloping 1 1/4  life size bronze Arabian horses stand guard along the winding, palm-tree lined private avenue which leads to what can only be described as a palace: Al Qasr Hotel, situated at The Madinat in Dubai. This is the stuff that dreams are made of for any horsey type, like me!
